Gears-Final look

Quality Talk model-based science lessons:

  • Allow students to create rich explanatory models for real-world scientific phenomena
  • Scaffold learning by providing partially worked out, student-drawn models
  • Require students to build strong arguments in support their claims about the model
  • Stimulate productive, student-led classroom discussions by highlighting multiple aspects of the scientific phenomena

Quality Talk teachers:

  • Participate in professional development introducing the Quality Talk model and QT-enhanced lessons
